Cros-Fit Personal Training was first launched in December 2012 by Sarah Crosby, an enthusiastic fitness professional and keen Martial Artist. Since the original launch, Cros-Fit has quickly moved from strength to strength, with not only a 100% success rate, but also continuing to expand new training ideas, knowledge and further qualifications in order to make successful clients even better than ever before! Whatever your goal may be, there is something here ideal for you!
As well as working on the physical aspects of training, i.e. body fat loss or muscle building, Sarah also works on a number of vital life skills - such as co-ordination, social skills, escapism, stress relief and confidence building!
Sarah first started by joining a Martial Arts club at the age of nine, within three years she had achieved a 1st Dan Black Belt in Wado-Ryu Karate, as well a Black Belt - 2nd Dan in two different traditional Japanese weapons, and a further number of belts within various other styles and other weaponry. By the age of sixteen Sarah was competing on a national circuit against some of the best in the country, as well as running her own Martial Arts club along side (also black belts) her father Martin Crosby, sister, Holly Crosby and brother, Jack Crosby.
Bushido 9 was a very successful Martial Arts club which first opened at a Primary School located in Middleton, Leeds, and before long the club was expanding for further sessions at Hunslet Boys Club, also located in South Leeds. - Here Sarah had the privilege of passing on her knowledge and love for Karate onto people of all abilities and ages.
Sarah then spent a further two years studying a number of different practical and theory based subjects at Joseph Priestley college in Rothwell. As well as receiving an overall distinction in subjects such as Teamwork and Psychology, here Sarah also achieved an NCFE Certificate in Sports Coaching. During college Sarah was lucky enough to take part in training with the Armed Forces and the Riot Police, as well as taking mountain expeditions at places such as the Lake District.
After taking a number of years out to decide what she really wanted to do with her career, Sarah decided to study to become a Personal Trainer. For two months she attended a course and achieved her Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing, before furthering her studies to finally become a Level 3 Personal Trainer. Now fully qualified, Sarah is also able to teach Indoor Cycling (also known as Spinning), Circuit Training, Gym Based Boxing and Nutrition.
Now a self employed Personal Trainer, Sarah is available for a number of sessions in and around areas of West Yorkshire, available for both home visits, and training within Xercise4Less Gym, Xscape, Castleford, Leeds!
